Christmas Holiday Spending Season is fast approaching!
This holiday season comes with the usual high expectations - festive gatherings and gift giving. It can be a wonderful time but it can also be expensive and financially stressful. The outcome is often a financial hangover that won=t go away! We recommend that you set up a spending plan this year. The holiday spending must fit your overall budget so we suggest you list your monthly family income and then list the monthly expenses. Now deduct your expenses from your income, the funds left over is the amount available for irregular expenses. You must then decide how much can safely be spent this holiday. If you must reduce your holiday spending compared to previous years it does not mean you are becoming Scrooge. You may just need to become more creative finding less expensive gifts and entertainment this holiday season.
